24 hours in Nha Trang

So.. You know in my post about our detailed itinerary to Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia? Where I crossed my fingers for sun, lazy days on the beach and just happy time in Nha Trang? Well.. that did not happen πŸ˜‚ It rained. Constantly.

Most of our time was therefore spent in the hotel room, which was actually quite nice! We almost benched an entire season of The Staircase, and I loved that we just took the day off ☺️

By this time we had learned that Top 10 on Tripadvisor in Vietnam does not necessarily mean top 10 in real life. It just means that they are better at asking their customers directly to review them with 5 stars.

We therefore opted for a restaurant a bit further down the list this time, called Lanterns Vietnamese Restaurant. The food was d e l i c i o u s and I can highly recommend everyone to spend half an evening here 😊

We decided on a pinapple dish with chicken and our own platter of meat and seafood which we got to cook for ourself on the table! So awesome, and so yummy!

Once we were done with our dinner, we walked down the street and found a bike taxi. We asked for some live music, and were taken to a place called Skylight Nha Trang.

If you are looking for a night of partying this is definitely the place for you! And the views are amazing 😊

Looking back I would probably have removed Nha Trang from our itinerary and added the overnight in a different place, such as Hoi An for example.

There is not much else on offer than the beach and the city itself has actually become a major hub for russians in the later years. Whilst there is nothing wrong with that, I would opt for a different place during the rainy season. It is probably a great place to stay if you’re lucky with the weather or traveling in the hot season though πŸ˜Šβ˜€οΈ

Big hugs! πŸ’›
